Jon Harkavy publishes 2020 Supreme Court Review

This week, Jon Harkavy published his annual Supreme Court Commentary concerning the October 2020 Term of the U.S. Supreme Court. The article summarizes cases on labor and employment law issues as well as a number of non-employment decisions likely to affect the workplace. The article also briefly summarizes grants of certiorari in employment-related cases for the October 2021 Term and concludes with insightful commentary on opinions rendered in the 2020 Term in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and transition of Presidential administrations. Most notably, Jon's article cautions that while "most observes have regarded this year's term as a placid and pedestrian one in the labor and employment sector[,]" this year's opinions contain "some disquieting rationales that could bode ill for employee rights[.]" As always, Jon's thorough and sharp analysis makes for a fun and informative read!
