The North Carolina Court of Appeals issued unanimous decision in favor of Patterson Harkavy attorney Narendra Ghosh’s client.
In Contaminant Control, Inc. v. Allison Holdings, LLC, 2021-NCCOA-430 (2021), the Plaintiff contended that a client failed to pay them for flooding remediation performed after Hurricane Matthew, and at trial, a jury agreed, awarding approximately $106,000 in damages. The Defendant appealed, contending that the trial court erred in granting a directed verdict against various counterclaims, excluding certain testimony, and denying its motion to amend counterclaims.
Narendra represented the plaintiff on appeal, and secured an opinion rejecting each of the defendant’s arguments and affirming the jury verdict in full. Click here to view the Court of Appeals’ decision.
